Bwaise Pentecostal Church

BPC is a cell based church where small groups with a maximum of 14 members (residents in the communities) meet once a week to share. Through the cell system, we run strategic seed projects  where we serve/minister to the community by getting involved in; e.g. cleaning garbage, caring for the elderly and HIV/AIDS affected families, visiting sick people in the community etc.

We strongly believe the church is supposed to live Christ both within and outside of the four walls. We need to leave our comfort zones and go out there where people are hurting. Seed projects give us an opportunity to know the needs in our community and design ways to meet them. We work with the local leadership to address these needs.

BWAISE has three parishes:
BWAISE 1 with a total population of 18,988 and 4,092 households.
BWAISE 2 has a population of 16,829 with 4,387 households.
BWAISE 3 has a population of 10,895 with 3001 households. The total population of Bwaise is 46,712 with 11,480 households. The area is predominantly Moslems where polygamy is regarded as a religious right and AIDS has got alot of effects on this population. Prostitution, single parenthood and child neglect is so high in this community.
